Meeting Betty Kate

A few days after our sweet, dear friends had their second baby girl--we were privileged to meet precious Betty Kate!  We enjoyed spending time with her and Parker and Anna had alot of fun playing together!  It's funny how you forget how tiny and little newborns are--and how you can just hold them and they are pretty happy with that!! :)  We love you Daniel, Lynn, Anna and Betty Kate!

GiGi's Birthday

So for Jeanie's birthday (in March...I know, a little late with the post) we went over to Lucian and Jeanie's house with Papa Carl, Mama Jo, Annie and the Weathers.  Lucian had taken care of all of the details from the food, cake and table decorations (Jeanie has taught him well!!)  :)  It was so much fun and the food was very yummy!!  Thanks for having us over, and Happy Birthday GiGi!!  We love you very much!!

This and That

It's been awhile since I have posted anything--so I am sorry if you have been faithfully checking the blog and not seen any new pictures of Parker! Over the last month or so, we have gone to Florence for a weekend, hung around the house, celebrated Valentine's Day, gone to the lake, park and taken Parker to his first Clemson basketball game.  Here are some fun pictures!! :)

Parker's first Clemson basketball game!!  He was so good!! Sat thru the first half and actually watched the game!!  Got a little antsy towards the end of the game--but all in all, did really well!!  :) (the snacks and all of the activity helped too!!) 

Catching up....

I can't believe that Parker is now 19 months old!!  Where has the time gone?!?!  He isn't supposed to be this big! :)  Wasn't it just yesterday he was being swaddled and could fit in my arms??!  Now, he is running around, talking and picking up new words everyday and learning so much so fast!! Man, oh man--but it is such a FUN age!! Parker had his 18 month check up at the end of January and he weighs 25.5 pounds and is 33.25 inches tall.  He is right on track developmentally wise and still amazes both Bruce and I how much he is learning!!  He is eating more and more with a fork/spoon (and definitely lets you know when HE wants to do it!), still LOVES to read his books, enjoys playing with Maggie and throwing/catching balls, and his toys, especially his Little People Noah's Ark and Farmhouse! :)  We can't wait for spring because Parker loves to be outside and he LOVES to swing!! He is able to count to 10 (with some help...) and knows most animals and what they 'say'.  Too funny! :) 

We haven't been up to much these last few weeks--both Parker and I have been sick.  But we are slowly recovering and looking forward to warmer weather(and not being sick!!)  Here are a few pics that I have taken lately:

Happy Birthday Bruce!!

Today is Bruce's birthday and since our original plans were changed due to the snow/ice--we celebrated quietly at home.  It was a great day spent with just the 3 of us and Bruce got to sleep-in, watch a movie during the day, had 3 meals cooked for him :) and watched another movie and had ice cream birthday cake tonight!!  Happy birthday to the man I love, a fantastic father, a wonderful friend and the best husband ever!!  We love you very much!! :)

Snow!!

The Snow of 2011!

Winter showed up on our doorstep this week.  We ended up getting around 7 inches of beautiful snow Sunday-Monday.  It was great to have a few days off and to be lazy and not feel like we had to do anything.  Parker really didn't know what to think about all the white stuff.  The ice, which started Monday afternoon/evening, which fell on top of the snow did put a damper on things but we did have a great time.  Here are some pictures of the winter wonderland.

Too handsome not to share!!!  This is the outfit that Parker's Aunt Tracie got him for Christmas!!  He wore it to church this past Sunday!  Doesn't he look precious!?!?  I love this boy!!  :)
