A new trick--standing up in the pack-n-play
Quite proud of himself :)
Quite proud of himself :)
One of my closest friends from Clemson, Shelley came to visit from Charleston with her oldest, Carson (almost 5) and her newest addition, Isaac (2 months). Eli (3) got to stay home with Daddy for some man time!! :)
We all had a great time!!!
Parker's first play date: notice all of the fun toys!! Ellison is in the corner, Parker in the middle, Madison is making her way from the front door and Luke is tasting the rolling toy! :)
A better group shot!! I guess Parker was getting sleepy!! ;)
Love this pic: Ellison putting his hand on Madison head for stablization while both of them were watching the basketball game!!
What great friends we have!!! Thanks Claytons for hosting--we all had a wonderful time!!
Frist trip to the lake this year!!
Silly boy!
Sitting in Bruce's old highchair--getting ready to celebrate Gigi's birthday!!
Since he can't have cake yet(not until his first bday) Parker got his first teething cookie to enjoy for Gigi's birthday!! Good thing he was headed to the bath right after this--yucky!! But he LOVED IT!!
Grandaddy holding Parker while he helped Gigi open her present!! Happy birthday Gigi--you're the BEST!!!!!
Found Parker like this yesterday--who needs to be IN the exersaucer!?!?! :)
I can't believe that Parker is 8 months old (almost 9 at the time of this post)!! Where has the time gone?!? Bruce and I were looking at pictures of Parker when he was just born tonight, and tears came to my eyes--was he really that small, wasn't it just yesterday we were there?!?! Whew, time really does fly by. Especially when Parker seems to learn something new everyday, it truly is a miracle to watch him grow. Bruce and I are continually amazed at the Lord's goodness to us and how much we love our little guy!!
Parker has started crawling (yikes!) and pulling up this month. Good thing we lowered his crib bed already!! He has two bottom teeth now (which I must say is really cute, although I was a little sad to see his toothless smile go) and he is eating some solid foods. Well, not really 'eating' more like gumming but you can do that with puffs and cheerios! ;) Parker is actually starting to wean himself to the bottle, which makes it easier for me to drop feedings but he still gets fed by me 2 out of the 4--and of course, the 3 meals!! It it amazing to Bruce and me how Parker can pretty much get to where he wants or grab what he wants!! We are quickly learning where NOT to put stuff and the things that need to find higher ground! My nickname for Parker right now is Mr. Dangerous, because he tends to find all cords (like my hair dryer cord while I am using it, or the monitor power cord, etc) and all plastic bags!!! jeez son!! Bruce did say the other day, that while Parker is slowly gaining his independence, we are quickly losing ours!!! :) Oh well, I guess that is the fun of parenting, and we are really having a blast! Parker just makes our heart melt, cracks us up with his infectious laugh and delights our soul. We are beyond blessed to have the privilege of raising our precious baby boy!!
